IMG_3951Founded in 1955, as Spring Little League, it is the oldest youth baseball league in Troy .  Umpires were paid 25 cents a game, a hot dog cost a nickel and a new baseball glove cost $9.95!   1955 was also the year the Brooklyn Dodger beat their Crosstown rivals the New York Yankees for their 1st World Series win. Spring Little League continued to to play until the  1970's when it changed it's name to Spring Youth Baseball, Spring Continued to play Little League Baseball.  in 2000 Spring Youth Baseball switched to playing Cal Ripken Baseball for  more competitive play and to increase its borders.  Also in the early 2000's the Spring Renegade Travel Baseball Program was formed. Currently Spring Youth Baseball plays Cal Ripken for its house/recreational league games and plays its Travel games in the competitive Empire State Baseball League [ESBL].  


Spring Youth Baseball has had many Champions in the Last 60 years, From the 13U 2008 AABC World Series Champions .... to Most recently the  3 time Cal Ripken State Champions in  2014 at 8U age group, 2015 at 10U age group and last season 2016, REPEATING as  11u State Champs IMG_0174
