Code of Conduct and Waivers for your review

CONDUCT POLICY

  • Manager/Coaches/ Parents will receive a one (1) game suspension if ejected during an in-house game.
  •  Manager/Coaches/Parents who are ejected for a 2nd occurrence will appear before the Board of Directors and appropriate action will be considered upon discretion.

Manager/Coaches/Parents will appear before the Board of Directors if behavioral issues arise during games and appropriate action will be considered upon the Board’s discretion.

Manager/Coaches/Parents shall remain unconditionally supportive of the Spring Youth Baseball Organizations’ commitment to the ideals of good sportsmanship, team play, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority.

  • Likewise, Manager/Coaches/Parents shall remain sensitive to the physical and emotional well-being of the players on his/her team.
  • Manager/Coaches/Parents will be positive role models. They will display and instill in their players the principals of good sportsmanship and team play.
  • Manager/Coaches/Parents will conduct themselves in a manner that best serves the interest of the players. They will do their best to model a positive attitude to their players.
  • Manager/Coaches/Parents will ensure that whether they win and/or lose a game, teams do so in a manner, which exhibits respect and good sportsmanship.
  • Manager/Coaches/Parents will treat all players, parents, spectators, and league officials with respect and not ridicule or demean anyone.
  • Manager/Coaches/Parents will provide instruction in a manner that is constructive and supportive, teaching the game of baseball to the best of their ability.
  • NO Manager/Coach/Parent at any time shall, lay a hand upon, push, shove, strike, or threaten to strike an official or player. In the event that the Welfare and Safety of a Player, Parent, Coach, Umpire or other party is of concern, the Troy Police will be contacted
    • For the offending individual this will result in an immediate suspension from all Spring Youth Baseball activities until the next Full Board meeting

Spring Youth Baseball Board of Directors reserves the right to intervene at their Discretion 

Animal Policy

No dogs are allowed on the Premises with the exception of Service Dogs.

No Smoking Policy

Spring Youth Baseball complex is a non smoking, non dipping complex

Permission to use Photos

As a parent or Guardian registering to play at Spring Youth Baseball you are granting permission to use your players likeness in photos.  Such use includes the display, distributions, publications, transmissions or otherwise use of photographs, images and/or videos taken for use in materials that include, but may not be limitied to, printed materials such as Brochures, Newsletters, Videos and digital images used on Spring Youth Baseballs Website and Social Media Pages, such as Facebook and for Spring Youth Baseball’s Fundraising Events.

Non Discrimination Policy

Spring Youth Baseball does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. COVID-19 WAIVER

AMATEUR ATHLETIC WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
READ BEFORE SIGNING
In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in Spring Youth Baseball, related events and activities, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:
The risks of injury and illness (ex: communicable diseases such as MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19) from the activities involved in this program are significant, potentially life-threatening, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce these risks, the risks of serious injury and illness do exist; and,
I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,
I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
I acknowledge that I am aware that there are risks to me of exposure to directly or indirectly arising out of, contributed to, by, or resulting from:
An outbreak of any and all communicable disease, including but not limited to, the virus “severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)”, which is responsible for Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and/or any mutation or variation thereof;
In consideration of having the opportunity to participate as either a team member or competitor at location, and in acknowledging that I am aware of and willing to assume the risks associated with this activity, I hereby voluntarily agree to waive, hold harmless and indemnify Spring Youth Baseball, and its trustees, agents, volunteers and employees from any and all claims, demands, damages and causes of action of any nature whatsoever arising out of ordinary negligence which I, my heirs, my assigns or successors may have against them for, on account of, or by reason of my participation in the above activities. I indicate my agreement to this hold harmless elective noted below.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY REGISTERING MY PLAYER, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.

FOR PARTICIPANTS OF MINORITY AGE (UNDER AGE 18 AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION)
This is to certify that I, as parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, have read and explained the provisions in this waiver/release to my child/ward including the risks of the activity and his/her responsibilities for adhering to the rules and regulations. Furthermore, my child/ward understands and accepts these risks and responsibilities. I for myself, my spouse, and child/ward do consent and agree to his/her release provided above for all the Releasees and myself, my spouse, and child/ward do release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all liabilities incident to my minor child’s/ward’s involvement or participation in these activities as provided above, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THEIR NEGLIGENCE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
